My son (2 years) and daughter (almost 5) really love coming to Clifton Street. There's a sense of genuine love from the carers and the centre gives off a warm and safe vibe. We couldn't be happier with Clifton Street and would highly recommend it as a wonderful childcare and kinder.

Being on the committee is a great way to learn more about, and become part of, the Centre's community and its activities. Being not-for-profit, the Centre relies on contributions from members but more than just being an effort in volunteering, participating in activities through the committee; in sub-committee work; at Working Bees; &/or in fund-raising events, connects you to the people and the program and at the same time, builds a stronger community for the children. There are a number of ways to participate - being a committee member is one way - but being present and getting involved in any way, is at the core of being a member of a community-run centre.

We were nervous for our Autistic 4 year old to join a mainstream kinder for one day per week but we needn't have been. Management and educators at Clifton Street embraced our son and family and worked hard to ensure his time at kinder was enjoyable and a success. The centre has a truly inclusive philosophy and continually works hard to make programs enjoyable for kids of all abilities.

This is our daughter's 3rd year at Clifton Street and she has blossomed here. She particularly loves the art therapy program and we can't believe the in depth things she has learned. Our whole family enjoys the vibe at Clifton Street. We enjoy the social events and community spirit. Staff are passionate and emotionally intelligent. The centre's focus on environment, indigenous culture and kindness and inclusiveness is so impressive. It is a truly special place and we are so lucky to be a part of the community.

We cannot speak highly enough of Clifton Street CC. Our daughter joined the 4-year-old kindergarten room part way through the year (2016) and she was warmly welcomed into the community by all the staff and children. She had a wonderful time at Clifton Street doing a range of interesting activities - the music and arts programs were particular favourites. Each of the staff members were great- always interested in each of the children and taking into account their individual needs and preferences. The administration staff are also a pleasure to deal with - it's a very organised and friendly establishment. Overall, we felt that she received a top-quality experience and the time she spent at Clifton Street prepared her really well for school.
