Our Early Childhood Education and Care programs are run by highly qualified and experienced educators in accordance with the National Quality Framework including the federal Early Yeas Learning Framework and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework. Our rooms are allocated by children’s age and development.
The Darebin City Council maintains a Centralised waiting list on behalf of all community based Child Care and Kindergarten places in the City of Darebin. The waiting list is administered by Darebin City Council to simplify the application process for families and to ensure a fair and equitable place allocation system for the community.
Families can apply for childcare from birth onwards and Kindergarten applications are open between February and April the year before a child intends to attend kindergarten.

Next year’s Kindergarten enrolments for children currently enrolled in child care at Clifton Street CC will still require a Kindergarten application through City of Darebin. Kindergarten applications are open from 1 February to 30 April.
A tour of Clifton Street CC will allow you to meet some of our highly dedicated educators, learn about our philosophy, get to see and feel what the centre is like and watch educators and children interacting. Tours run for approximately 30 minutes and are by appointment. Generally, we run tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays, if this does not suite please let us know and we will arrange a suitable date and time with you.

We aim to keep our fees affordable. As of January 2017, our fees are $100 per day. Our fees are reviewed annually in accordance with staff wages and other costs associates with providing high quality early years education and care. Families will be given ample notice and reasoning before any fee increase takes effect.
Prior to commencing at the service please contact centrelink to determine whether your family is eligible to receive the Chidcare Benefit (CCB) and/or Childcare Rebate (CCR), these entitlements will reduce your child’s fees. We understand that all families financial circumstances are different, fees can be paid weekly, fortnightly or monthly in line with pay cycles. Fees can be paid in cash or via internet transfer (preferred). Invoices and receipts are accessible in hubworks.
